« Two Weeks Notice :: January 29th, 2005 

Yesterday Josh handed in his resignation. He will finish work in two weeks, and in three he will be leaving for the RAAF Officer Training School in Point Cook, Victoria. The course goes for 17 weeks.

I don’t look forward to being apart from my husband for such a long period of time. But I have tried to look on the bright side, and have compiled a list of good things with regards to Josh going away :

1. I won’t have to get up early in the morning to make his lunch

2. I can read in bed at night for as long as I like because my bedside lamp won’t be keeping him awake

3. I can listen to Wham, Bananarama etc LOUDLY without worrying about his mental state

4. I only need to consider my own tastes and needs when grocery shopping

5. I can once again sleep diagonally across the bed.

Just to balance this list, I also wrote one of the bad things with regards to Josh going away :

This afternoon Josh and I went to the hospital to meet Joshua Ethan, newborn son of Rob and Fiona. He is just adorable!
