« My Husband Smells Nice Today :: September 30th, 2005

Not that he usually smells bad. But last night he bought Le Male by Jean Paul Gaultier and it REALLY suits him. He first tried it on a couple of weeks ago when I was picking out my anniversary perfume, at the encouragement of the saleswoman - who told him that whenever she smells a guy wearing it, she wants to “rip him apart” and “eat him”. He smelled it, loved it, and went back to buy it!

I think, however, he was slightly perturbed by the enclosed leaflet which advertises other JPG products for men including face bronzer, lip gloss, concealer, eyeliner, and tinted brow and lash groomer.

This morning I put a pair of his underpants on over my trackpants and stuffed the crotch until it was bulging, then stood where he could see me and said “Hi, I’m Josh.” He was flattered.

« Come To Australia! :: September 26th, 2005

I love this song by the Scared Weird Little Guys:

Redback, Funnel-Web, Blue-ringed octopus
Taipan, Tigersnake and a Box jellyfish
Stonefish and the poison thing that lives in a shell
That spikes you when you pick it up

Come to Australia
You might accidentally get killed

Your life’s constantly under threat
Have you been bitten yet?
You’ve only got three minutes left
Before a massive coronary breakdown

Redback, Funnel-Web, Blue-ringed octopus
Tiapan, Tigersnake and a Box jellyfish
Big shark just waiting for you to go swimming
At Bondi Beach

Come to Australia
You might accidentally get killed
Your blood is bound to be spilled
With fear your pants will be filled
Because you might accidentally get killed

« Keeping Gypsie In Line :: September 25th, 2005

I’m just wondering if maybe I should make a few copies of this to wave in front of our dog’s face as a kind of warning whenever she’s naughty?

« BBQ :: September 25th, 2005

This afternoon Josh and I got together with Dan, Ric, Big Josh and Steve and had a bbq in the park. It’s a beautiful day - sunny and warm with a light breeze. We found a place by the water and watched the ducks.

Gypsie came along too and she was very well behaved. Dan bought her some bones so she wouldn’t feel left out while we were all eating. She still tried to scab food off us and was very spoiled with some sausages and lamb chops. At one point, she sat up nice and tall beside us at the table, smiled, and let out a big burp. I think she needs to work on her table manners.

We ate sausages and chops and eggs and bread and buns and sauce cheese and camembert and mushrooms and tomatoes and lettuce and bananas and strawberries, accompanied by ice and water and coke.

Many laughs and jokes and sillyisms and double-entendres ensued.

Perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon :)

« ZOOTOPIA! :: September 19th, 2005

Today was zoo day! I LOVED it :D

I saw swans and a pelican and ducks and an emu and kangaroos and wallabies and lots of different sorts of parrots and ibises and tawny frogmouths and a kookaburra and a pony and some deer and a tiger and rhesus macaques (including a teeny tiny 5 month old baby - soooo cute!) and lions and ostriches and baboons and llamas and a jaguar and turtles and tortoises and snakes and a crocodile and a shingleback lizard and rufous bettongs and MACAWS :!:

And I got to FEED a macaw! I gave it a nut! And it took it from me soooo gently and didn’t pinch!

Now I want one more than ever. Just have to save up $7000+. Easy peasy :razz:
