It’s stories like these that remind me that there are beautiful people in the world. In this day and age, it can be hard to remember.

But I also want to take this opportunity to remind you all that A PET IS FOR LIFE! Please don’t get a pet unless you can be certain you are able to give it a loving home until its dying day.

Also - DESEX YOUR PETS! It may not be your dog or cat who ends up abandoned, abused, neglected or on death row in a shelter, but it could be the kitten or puppy you allowed your pet to have.

And finally, if you are thinking of getting a new pet, please consider adopting an older pet from a shelter. They need homes and have just as much love to give as a younger animal.
