« Happy Valentine’s Day! :: February 14th, 2006

My beloved and I went to the movies this morning to see Casanova - witty, romantic, and much fun!

The we browsed at Koorong for a while before having a late lunch at Cafe Valetta, followed by a long, slow stroll hand-in-hand through Queen’s Park and the Botanic Gardens.

Now it is time to curl up beside him and listen to his heart beat until I fall asleep.

A perfect day!

« Four Years :: February 13th, 2006

Joshy and I have been together for four years today! And I’m not sick of him yet, teehee :lol:

We had our first kiss before our first date…. yeah, I’m easy.

« Friday Night Babble :: February 10th, 2006

Poor Joshy is so exhausted he went for a nap when he got home from work and 5 hours later he’s still sound asleep! Haven’t the heart to wake him. I’m hoping he sleeps through til morning coz he needs it.

Today Freaky took me clothes shopping. I got two plain long-sleeve fitted t-shirts (one black, one white), a groovy grape-purple cardigan, and some long black boots :) My winter wardrobe is nearly complete! I decided it was time to get rid of the baggy, faded, pilled, worn, sloppy, old tracky daks and jumpers and get some more stylish pieces that I can layer with my existing clothes and the like. I did keep a couple of pairs of tracky daks though, my hipster wideleg ones! And a couple of fleecy jumpers for the really cold days.

I got Josh a pair of Snoopy boxers that I saw while I was out, even though they weren’t on my list. He likes them muchly. And bandaids weren’t on my list either, but the ones I had on were rubbing off and I’m still trying to break in my new Dunlop’s, so I bought some extra wide ones and took my shoes off in the middle of a shopping centre and put the new bandaids on. My relief was palpable.

This weeks FLY Zone is the kitchen and I hadn’t done any work in it all week (except the usual - cooking, dishes, wiping down benches and cupboards and the stove, sweeping, etc). So that’s what I’ve been doing tonight. Paaaaaarty! I’ve cleaned the windows and killed the spiders and pulled down the cobwebs and wiped out the oven and griller and gone through the cupboards and drawers. All I want to do now is dust on top of the fridge and the microwave unit and it’s done. I had already wiped out the microwave after a potato explosion, and cleaned the fridge because it had barbeque sauce on it and chocolate crumbs in it thanks to a certain person who shall remain nameless but is the only human male in this household. If it’s fine tomorrow I may disinfect the bins, but they’re not that dirty since I wipe them out pretty much every week.

Obviously, as a housewife, I take my job seriously!

Cleaning out a drawer today, I found lots of little bottles of wedding bubbles left over from our nuptials so I blew some for Gypsie. She likes to jump up and try to catch them in her mouth. It is adorable to watch! I might have to get Josh to take pictures some time. Mega cuteness.

Have been getting back into watching my Dawson’s Creek dvd’s. They are a good accompaniment to my current exercise routine - it goes for about half an hour, and each episode is approx 40 minutes, so afterwards I can sit and have my drink of water while I watch the end of the episode (and - usually - cry).

Work tomorrow, which means much coffee, and party pies while watching Degrassi on my break once again. Makes work worth it. Getting paid helps, too.

I got my student ID in the mail today. I am officially a student - w00t! Now I can get cheap pizza and movie tickets.

My hair needs washing. Our cold tap in the shower broke the other week and so we are currently using pliers to turn the cold water on and off. Last night the pliers slipped off and bit my finger. It hurt. Bad. I have a lovely wound that is part cut, part crush, and part bruise. Anyone wanna see? I think I’ll cover my hands in a towel first tonight, just in case they try to kill me again.

« Ho Hum :: February 7th, 2006

Very ordinary, typical, usual day for me. Washed, dusted, vacuumed, watched Blue Heelers, exercised, cooked dinner, washed up, etc etc. I thought we were in for a cooler day, but the weather was just tricking me. About 1pm it got all steamy and sweaty and sticky and gross.

Busy day tomorrow:

* Work 7am - 9am
* Meet friend for coffee @ 10am
* Wash towels
* Bake something for supper
* Mop floors
* Go over readings and questions for Bible study
* Have lunch whilst watching Blue Heelers (v. important!)
* Paperwork & on-line banking
* Fold & put away clean washing
* Put spare room back together
* Have a shower
* Bible study @ 7:15pm
* Get home in time to watch ER @ 9:30pm! (v. v. important!)

« *Yawn* :: February 6th, 2006

Struggling with fatigue the past few days. Unsure whether it is the weather, my insomnia/restless legs, a return of CFS symptoms, or a combination of all three. Not to worry - I know I need to roll with it rather than try to fight it, and rest rest rest as much as I can. It’s times like these I’m so thankful I am in a situation which makes that possible.

On a much more positive note: Latte Tim Tam’s. OMGZ!

And so to bed.
