Josh and I have been together for five years today - and we’re not sick of each other yet!

When the angels took you to heaven
I remembered the smile on your face
I’ll miss you more than the words say
But I know this was destiny
Goodbye my precious… goodbye… goodbye
While you sleep under the flowers
I will pray for your soul
And time makes me stronger
And I’ll be standing against all
Goodbye my precious… goodbye… goodbye
Not easy to say goodbye
Cause life will go on without you
But I believe strongly
One day we’ll meet somewhere

The vet is coming at 3:30pm on Wednesday to see Darcy off to Rainbow Bridge.

We’ve just brought Darcy home. I can tell he’s glad to be back, but overall he’s not a very happy camper. He’s finding it hard to get comfortable, he’s vomiting every now and then, he has diarrhoea, and of course still peeing a lot.
For the next week, I have to give him:
100ml fluid via subcutaneous injection daily
Alu Tab daily
Zantac twice daily
Metomide every 8 hours
Next Saturday he will have his blood work done again to see if this regime is helping him any.
It’s going to be a difficult week. He is not going to like being injected and having liquid and tablets forced down his throat so many times a day.
I hate the idea that I will be doing things to him that make him unhappy, especially when there’s a very real chance this could be the last week I have with him.
And if it does help, is it realistic to keep it up for the rest of his life?
This is so very, very hard.
